Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania believes in the natural right of each individual to manage his or her fertility regardless of the individual's income, marital status, age, national origin or residence.
We also believe that reproductive self-determination must be voluntary
and preserve the individual's right to privacy.

Based on these beliefs, the mission of Planned Parenthood is:
  • to provide comprehensive reproductive and complimentary health care to those in need of these services.
  • to disseminate information about human sexuality and the need for family planning and responsible parenthood.
  • to advocate public policies which guarantee these rights and ensure access to such services.
